The Lambton Lions have certainly seen mixed results in the Tespa Overwatch Collegiate Championship this season. Competing in both the Regional and National leagues, the schedule has been a busy one.
After opening the National League season with a 2-0 win over Lenoir-Rhyne University and a no-show default win over San Diego State University, The Lions experienced a pair of tough losses to Arizona State and Washington State, dropping their record to 2-2.
In the Regional League, The Lions started their season with back-to-back 2-0 losses to the University of Waterloo and Central Michigan University.
Although the season was looking bleak, the Lions regrouped. Beginning with one match in each league on Feb. 3, the Lions defeated Missouri State University 2-0 in national play, followed by a 2-0 sweep of Ferris State in Regional League play.
The following Sunday would prove equally successful as the Lions swept both Western Michigan University and Fanshawe College.
In the Tepsa National League, The Lions now sport a 4-2 match record and are ranked #126 out of 456 teams remaining in the competition.
In the Tespa Regional League, The Lions sit in the middle of the pack with 2-2 match record placing them 17th out of 33 teams in Region 13.
The Lions are back in action this Sunday. Opponents are yet to be determined.
