Week 4 of the College Call of Duty season saw the Lambton Lions square off against the Sheridan Bruins — the league’s #4 ranked team according to the latest CCL power rankings. The undefeated Sheridan team (6-0) came in dropping only a single map the entire season heading into the Monday night tilt with Lambton, and quickly proved why they were so highly ranked in CCL.
The 3-0 defeat at the hands of Sheridan bumped the Lions down to a 3-4 record heading into their Tuesday match vs. the Ryerson Rams, whose only loss came at the hands of the aforementioned Sheridan Bruins.
Game 1 (Mode: Hardpoint – Map: Raid) quickly turned in favour of the Rams as they took the Hardpoint round 250-110. Game 2 (Mode: Search & Destroy), which also took place on the Raid map, proved to be equally in favour for Ryerson as Lambton was able to take a single round, dropping it 6-1. Game 3 (Mode: Control) switched to the Garrison map, but did not allow for a Lambton comeback as Ryerson swept the best-of-5 game 3-0.
The Lambton Lions now have a 3-5 record after four weeks in College Call of Duty. Up next for Lambton is the McMaster Marauders (3-5) on Tuesday March 2nd.
