We’re still more than a month away from the beginning of the 2019-2020 academic year, but the Lambton Lions are already off to a roaring start.
The Ontario Collegiate Rocket League season began in late May with over a dozen colleges and universities from across the province taking part. The Lambton Lions were one of two colleges to participate (Algonquin College being the other) with the remaining teams coming from universities around Ontario.
Although nobody could topple the University of Waterloo and their 13-0 record, the Lambton Lions had a very successful season taking 2nd place in the provincial standings with a solid 11-2 match record (34-7 game record). Lambton’s only losses came at the hands of the aforementioned Waterloo team and the University of Ottawa last week.
The Ontario Collegiate Rocket League championship event will be held August 24th at Durham College where Lambton will compete for a share of the $7,000 prize pool.
