The Hearthstone Collegiate Championship for Fall 2019 is now underway and some familiar faces are representing Lambton College for the season. Carter Medeiros returns for his third collegiate season with the team, while Thomas Travassos is back for his second campaign. The newest addition to the roster is Nicolas Isajiw who joins the Lambton Lions as a student of the Esports Entrepreneurship and Administration program.
The team had little time to prepare for the season as their first competitive match was scheduled for last night. The Lions are one of 146 teams in the North Division of the Tespa-run event, and their first match came against Ohio State University. Although the Lions lineup had only a few days to come together and prepare for their match, they emerged victorious with a 3-0 win.
The Lions will be back in action Tuesday night at 10pm against a yet-to-be-determined opponent.
