The Lambton Lions Rocket League team took two out of three matchups on the weekend resulting in a 44-spot jump in the most recent Tespa Collegiate Rocket League Open Ladder rankings.
Their first match saw them square off against the Orediggers from Colorado School of Mines out of Golden, CO where the Lions put up a 6-0 clean sheet followed by a close 2-1 victory.
Their next match would see them face Miami Club A from Miami University out of Oxford, OH. The Lions would go on to win their first game with a back-and-forth 4-3 final, but that was followed by being at the wrong end of 3-0 and 5-2 scores, allowing Miami Club A to win the best-of-3 matchup.
The Lions would bounce back later in the day in their match against the UMD Bulldogs from the University of Minnesota – Duluth. A 2-0 clean sheet followed by a 5-3 win would allow the Lions to sweep the best-of-3 match.
