After securing a quarterfinal spot two weeks ago, the remaining playoff picture is now set in Ontario Post-Secondary Esports.
The Lambton Lions will square off against the Queen’s Gaels on Friday March 12th at 7pm. The match will be broadcast live on OPSE’s official Twitch channel. The two teams faced each other on October 23rd, 2020, where Queen’s defeated Lambton 3-1 in the best-of-5 series. This was the last loss that Lambton took before embarking on an 8-match winning streak that stretched into February 2021. The Lions have dropped just one match since the loss to Queen’s in October, losing 3-0 to the University of Toronto in the regular season finale on February 12th. Following that, the Lions swept their way through the group stage of the playoffs, defeating the University of Toronto and York University in consecutive 3-0 victories.
