Lambton Lions Esports is thrilled to announce the schedule for Fall tryouts for the 2022-23 roster!
For the first time since the 2019-20 season, Lambton Lions Esports will field a Smash Bros. Ultimate team. Players will compete in NECC’s Tuesday night crew battles as well as Friday night singles competition during the Fall semester. In addition, the team will also travel to various tournaments throughout Ontario and Michigan through the 2022-23 season. Tryouts will take place Tuesday September 6th and Wednesday September 7th from 6:00pm-9:00pm in the Lambton College Esports Arena, Room B1-201B at Lambton College’s main campus. The squad will be coached by former Lambton Lion Forrest Boire.
Valorant returns to Lambton Lions Esports for its second season. Last year’s inaugural roster played its way to a division title in NECC’s Navigators White division and will look to repeat that success in 2022-23. Jerry “Jerryz” Zhou will lead the roster and serve as the team’s head coach in its second campaign. Tryouts will take place September 6th-September 11th.
Lambton Lions veteran Gavin Storozuk returns to the helm to coach the fifth edition of the Lambton Lions Esports Rocket League team. The former team captain played two seasons in a Lions jersey before moving on to the coach’s chair last year. Tryouts will take place September 7th and 8th.
Halo Infinite is back at Lambton College for its second campaign. The inaugural College Halo season saw the Lions find their way to an 8-6 finish before being dispatched in the first round of the playoffs. Tyler “TireIron” Mara is back as the team’s captain and coach. Tryout dates have not been announced yet, but will take place later in 2022.
Following a one-season hiatus, Call of Duty returns to Lambton Lions Esports with the release of Modern Warfare II. Coaching staff have not been announced yet. Tryouts will take place in December 2022 following the release of MW2.
