This weekend, the Lambton Lions Esports varsity League of Legends team will compete at Lan ETS in Montreal, QC.
LAN ETS is a BYOC (Bring your own computer) event that is the largest of its kind in Canada. This weekend’s event has a host of different activities but what draws the Lambton Lions Esports varsity team is their League of Legends tournament and its $10000 prize pool.
Lambton Lions Esports made the trip to LAN ETS in 2019 where they made an excellent run but fell short of the prize. They had left the group stage with a 6-1 record before eventually falling to semi-professional team TeamClarityGG in the Round of 16. Even though their run was cut short, Lambton Lions Esports was the last standing collegiate team in the League of Legends tournament.
The team heads into this weekend with an 8-2 record in CSL and 2-1 in ULOL under their belt.
