Lambton will now advance to the quarterfinals of the NECC Emergents conference national championship set for June 15th-17th

Lambton College Esports students planned and executed the event as part of their coursework, showcasing the wide range of esports jobs and growth of the industry

The events, which are set to begin on March 17th, will see participants compete in NBA 2K23 and Rocket League, and Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

New funding from the Ontario Government will provide thousands in scholarships for students enrolled in Lambton College’s Esports Entrepreneurship & Administration program.

The successful candidates will be responsible for providing support during the various children’s events hosted at the Lambton College Esports Arena.

This past Saturday marked the beginning of the highly anticipated annual ‘College League of Legends’ season, as over 350 teams compete for one of the top honours in all of collegiate esports.

Ulloa began playing for Lambton College’s League of Legends team as a Support in the Fall of 2019, and has continued playing for the team since then. However, 2020 brought a plethora of challenges no one could have ever expected.

The Lions return to their roots by bringing back the Overwatch team, and a club team from last season is brought into the varsity program.

As part of the new collaboration, Tiidal will provide internships within Lazarus Esports, the company’s competitive gaming and content division, to five students enrolled in the program.
